The Intermec 1464 CCD scanner auto discriminates between PDF417 and linear symbologies. Its built-in decoder can decode PDF417, Macro PDF417, Code 39, I2of5, Code 128, Codabar, UPC, and EAN symbologies. Its durable linear CCD technology collects data by swiping down a bar code with using a top to bottom motion. The 1464 scanner offers extensive programming parameters including audio feedback, RS-232 or Intermec wand emulation output, auto or manual trigger, prefixsuffix, and symbology selection, to allow maximum flexibility in integrating the scanner with a range of PCs and terminals and a broad set of user applications. The 1464 reads high and low density bar codes and excels in applications using poor quality, low contrast symbols. The CCD consumes little power, is more durable than a laser, and works under most lighting conditions out to a 4-inch depth of field.
